In the third quarter of 2015 we have seen the Lord of Fidelity and His will to bring Freedom to the children in our care. As we mentioned in the last report, El Pozo de Vida (The Well of Life) has a new project that started at the community center (Corazón Gomer), called Nunayú. Nunayú means “freedom” in Nahuatl, a native language in Mexico. There are nine women from 25 to 60 years old that left the streets and now work in this is jewelry protect. Every week from 10 AM to 2 PM they go to the community center for Nunayú. They start with a bible study for one or two hours because as they say “everything depends on how God is working with them.” After that they have lunch and then make a piece of jewelry. On Tuesdays they attend a business class to learn how to start and manage their own business. It has been amazing that the girls have had the chance to be a part of this program the last few months! When the project started, the girls used their street names, but now they use their real names. We have witnessed how their faith has grown over this very short period of time.
There are 12 girls at the safe house at this time and 5 girls at the transitional house all from 11 to 18 years old. Thank you for your faithful support and thank you so much for your generous donations and for investing into the lives and health of underage trafficking victims in Mexico City.
Alkare Foundation has been a huge blessing and we ask God to deeply bless you.
