An abbreviated version of our Missionary to Uganda,
Solome and her plight!
" We stand at a very critical point in history. There are so many orphans in Africa because of aids. The world is paying so much attention like never before. Even Hollywood famous celebrities are reaching out. I strongly feel that the fields of harvest are among the orphans. Have you recently picked up a magazine, a newspaper or listened to the news and see what's going on in Africa with the aids orphans? Aids is sweeping through Africa, killing entire generations of middle aged people. Leaving behind the very old and the very young
"Unprotected orphans are exploited sexually or economically, often by their relatives. A myth persists in parts of Africa that sex with a virgin can cure AIDS, a factor in the upsurge in rapes of babies and girls. No one can calculate the cost..." -LA TIMES- November 27, 2006
As humanity sinks deeper into bondage, the cry for deliverance gets louder and louder, day by day. Salvation and deliverance for those in bondage are found only in the name of Jesus! Truly the fields are white unto harvest as never before. I am asking you to open your eyes and see the harvest. It is as if John 4:35 were written for these memorable days: say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest?
I've been so privileged and so blessed, that in January, 2007 I will be leaving to go to Uganda (my home country) and do a small project at the orphanage. Someone gave a special gift through my home church, to enable me to go. I am so grateful for this opportunity. I also want to remind you, that I have a lot of needs in this ministry. Your gift at this time to this ministry is so needed and so appreciated! The very standing need right now is to buy 12 beds, blankets, sheets, mattress etc. for twelve orphans. We have estimated $3,000.00. I need to take this money with me when I leave for Uganda in January. My ticket has already been confirmed and paid for. This was a miracle which I never expected to come so soon. I praise God for that. January 15, 2007 is my departure date.
Please pray for me, for my safety, my well being. Thank you for being such a powerful part of this work. It is my prayer that God will pour upon you many good things in the days to come, as you continue planting seeds into the work of the Gospel. My family and I wish you all a rich and memorable Christmas Season!
Merry Christmas and be blessed!
